The Royal Capital Burns, Part Two will be the 6th episode of the Arslan Senki Anime series. This episode will follow the storyline from chapter 7 of Hiromu Arakawa's manga.
Summary[]
Gieve escapes Ecbatana after having a clash with Silvermask, who makes use of the underground tunnels to strike the palace from within.
The Lusitanian forces, assisted by the slaves, break into the capital and conquer it.
Synopsis[]
After the Lusitanians made their speech, a group of slaves is reprimanded by Marzban Garshasph, one of generals defending the city along with his fellow Sam.
The Lusitanians begin to expose the beheaded head of the Parsian Generals, such as those of Khayr, Manuchurch and Vahriz. Both Marzbans inform the Queen, who asks if her husband's head was there too, and reassures that it wasn't. The two are surprised that the Queen didn't ask about her own son, though Garshasph states it because of her despair. Sam advises to defend the city until force from the Eastern border will rescues them, but Garshasph is not convinced, as it will take too long. There they caught slaves listening to the Lusitanian speech, and Garshasph threatened them with his sword. A horseman inform them that slave have started an uprising and tries to open the Gate. Garshasph speedily crushes the riot, killing and wounding several slaves, and Sam warns him that it will result in more slave's uprising.
This later comes true as many citizens are killed by rebellious slaves, while many are imprisoned as a result. Gieve is asked by a High Official to help Taramineh escape the city by using the underground tunnels. Gieve agreed, but stops to lead his guest to the end when he realized she is not the queen, but one of her female servants. The servant hits Gieve and tried to escape but is killed after meeting the Lusitanian soldiers lead by Silver Mask and Kharlan, who identify her as an imposter. Silver Mask leaves a few soldiers to kill Gieve, and lead the remaining over to the Palace. Gieve fends off all his attackers and then leaves the Underground Tunnel.
While the Lusitanians furiously attack Ecbatana's walls, Sam notes that the Palace is in flames and role here alone. The Lusitanian force coming from the Tunnel is battling the Parsian force and manage to free the imprisoned slaves, who cause chaos and murder in the City. Sam cutting his way to the Palace, realizes that the invaders come from the Underground Tunnel, and meets Kharlan whom he engages in a Sword Fight. Encircled by Lusitanian soldiers, he tried to escape after refusing to listen Kharlan's claims but receives a lance in his back from Silver Mask.
Soon after, the evading slaves manage to open the Main gate and the Lusitanian soldiers begin to run down the Main Alley. Garshasph rode here with a cavalry unit but is overrun and killed. This mark the fall of Ecbatana.
At the same time, Arslan and his party leave their location.
