Kishward (キシュワード Kishward? ) is one of Pars's Marzbans.
Appearance[]
He has a long beard that extends to his chest as well as deep blue eyes and hair that appears to look like fire as though a sign that he is bringing hell to the battle field. He's frequently seen with a large dark grey cloak covering his armour.
Personality[]
Kishward has a friendly, yet sometimes serious personality. He shown to be fond of hawks.
Plot[]
Ecbatana is Burning[]
While Prince Arslan was playing with Azrael in the courtyard, Marzban, Kishward entered, commenting on how Azrael likes Arslan more than himself, even though he is his master. After Vahriz teased him that his own birds don’t respect him, Kishward gave his report concerning the latest campaign, saying that Pars forces crushed Lusitania and saved their ally, Maryam and the army has returned.
Siege of Ecbatana[]
Kishward didn’t participate in the Battle of Atropatene because he was in charge of defending the eastern border of Pars in Peshawar. He got surprised when Azrael came back, because he was supposed to be with Prince Arslan. Lord Bahman suddenly appeared and told him that the Parsian forces got defeated and the Lusitanians are closing in on the walls of Ecbatana.
Two Princes[]
Before the enemy ambushed Prince Arslan's company, Kishward and Narsus appeared with soldiers on their sides. Kishward killed lots of them and forced the Lusitanians to retreat. Kishward welcomed Arslan and his company to Peshawar.
After Prince Arslan and others entered Peshawar, Kishward took Lord Bahman and they welcomed the Prince. When Arslan stated that they will launch their counterattack from Peshawar and Kishward first got surprised, then became happy and told Arslan that grew up in such a little time period and stated that the 80,000 soldiers in Peshawar will swear their loyalty to Arslan.
In the evening, Arslan fed Azrael for saving him earlier in his room and Kishward stated that Azrael is one lucky hawk. Arslan asked what happened to Soroush and this somehow saddened Kishward. He said that he sent him to Ecbatana along with some of his trusted men, but didn’t get a message from them since their departing and stated that they are most likely found by the enemy. Arslan suddenly told Kishward that he will raise an army and retake the capital, and after taking Ecbatana, he will abolish slavery. Kishward got surprised and said that he doesn’t have any objections, but lots of lords won’t take his side if Arslan does such a thing. Arslan stated that Narsus also told him the same things, but stated that if he manages to save the King, he may be willing to listen.
The next day, they made a meeting and Bahman stated that they can’t raise an army. He said that there is nothing to be gained from rushing things, so they shall at least for the new year to attack. Daryun questioned his decision and after Narsus calling him an old coward, Bahman became angry and left the room. After the meeting, Kishward told them that Vahriz sent Bahman a message before the battle, and Bahman has been acting weird since then. They asked if he knows anything about the message’s contents, he said that he knows nothing about that.
After the meeting, someone intruded the castle and attacked Prince Arslan. After lots of soldiers came, he intended to escape and jumped, but Kishward attacked him and said that he will slay anyone who invades the castle and started to attack him. After landing lots of attacks, he managed to force him back, but he once again jumped down. Daryun and Narsus confronted him there. While they were fighting, Arslan once again told him to say who he is. The Silvermask stated that he is the son of the previous king Osroes, Hilmes. While everyone was shocked by this, Hilmes defeated Farangis and charged at Arslan, but Bahman protected him by taking the blow on himself. Bahman told Hilmes to withdraw. This shocked Arslan and Daryun. Bahman told Arslan to become a good king and died. Suddenly, a soldier came and reported that a Shinduran force numbering 20 to 30 thousand is breaching the border under the cover of night.
