Ohrmazd succeeded his uncle, Yazdegerd I.
He was succeeded by his son, Yazdegerd II.
Etymology[]
Ohrmazd is a Persian name derived from Avestan Ahura Mazdā and means "Wise Lord." Ahura Mazdā is the creator deity in Zoroastrianism.
