The Heroic Legend of Arslān (アルスラーン戦記 Arusurān Senki? ) is the first manga series and overall the first adaptation of the original novel series by Yoshiki Tanaka. The manga was written and illustrated by Chisato Nakamura and published by Kadokawa Shoten from November 1991 to September 1996. It consists of thirteen volumes and received a six-part original video animation in the same years.

With the popularization of the first few novels, the series received a manga adaptation by writer and illustrator Chisato Nakamura. From November 1991 to September 1996 the thirteen volumes were published by Kadokawa Shoten and serialized in Asuka Fantasy DX, and the adaptation received an original ending in catching up with the novels.

Translations[]

An ongoing translation to English by Ryochan and Kitsune contains the first two chapters of the first volume. In the manga's use of Persian words, this translation follows the spelling convention of the Shahnameh and other historical texts.
